The guest speaker was former politician and entrepreneur Klaas Dijkhoff, also known as a bridge-builder between politics and the business world. Before taking to the stage, he took a moment to visit the EA stand and have a brief chat with our chairman, Erik de Ruijter (see photo). ‘Impact begins with action’ was the guiding theme of the well-attended VOA meeting. Klaas [...]
At the end of May this year, the Municipal Executive published the coalition agreement: Alphen aan den Rijn 2026–2030, Growing Together Towards the Future. The councillors from the coalition parties Nieuw Elan, CDA, PRO Alphen aan den Rijn and D66 are now working on an implementation plan to put the agreement into practice. “We want to [...]
Energy communities are partnerships of residents, businesses and/or public parties that generate sustainable energy together (solar and wind) and share it with each other. That is: generating, using and storing as well as mutual settlement. This largely bypasses the large national energy network. As an energy community, you are less dependent on geopolitical developments and other market distortions. And: you decide for yourself [...]
Energiek Alphen is implementing the ‘Score a free energy advice’ campaign with its social partners. A billboard already hangs on their accommodations; these associations also inform their members about the possibility of requesting an energy advice call. “They can then make an appointment with one of our Energy Coaches. Who will visit them at home to discuss which [...]
Stichting PWA Bad is the seventh party with which Energiek Alphen has entered into a social partnership; six football clubs in the municipality of Alphen aan den Rijn preceded the swimming pool. “We felt we should not be missing from that list, given all our efforts together with the municipality to make our swimming pool more sustainable,” [...]

The Village Council Hazerswoude Rijndijk-Oost, together with Energiek Alphen, held several Samen Slimmer information evenings in recent months. There, a number of residents showed interest in buying a heat pump. Our energy coaches then help the residents to first make sure that the house is sufficiently suitable for this. What is important, of course, is which residents after the energy advice [...]
Self-supply plus contracts have been possible since 2024, initially only for companies and municipalities and from 2026 also for private individuals. That particular party generates its own renewable electricity for its own use (self-supply) and what is additionally needed (the plus) comes - in this case - from Zon op Alphen. Until now, Zon op [...]
