Energiek Alphen social partner of VV Koudekerk
Energiek Alphen aan den Rijn has entered into a social partnership with the board of VV Koudekerk. With this partnership, the energy cooperative wants to call on members of the football club to request energy advice and to take energy-saving measures at home. Earlier this year, Energiek Alphen already committed itself as a social partner to six other football clubs and to the PWA Bad in Koudekerk.
Energiek Alphen is implementing the ‘Score a free energy advice’ campaign with its social partners. A billboard already hangs on their accommodations; these associations also inform their members about the possibility of requesting an energy advice call. “They can then make an appointment with one of our Energy Coaches. He will visit them at home to discuss which measures are possible to save on their energy costs,” says chairman Erik de Ruijter of Energiek Alphen aan den Rijn.
Small measures, big difference
“The advice is completely non-binding. The resident receives a report listing exactly how the house can be made more sustainable,” De Ruijter continues. “Our wish is, of course, that the residents actually get to work. Whether you own a home or are a tenant, with small measures you can soon reduce your energy bill considerably.” Think, for example, of draught strips or fitting LED lighting, radiator foil or a water-saving shower head. The advice can also include ventilation and insulation measures for the roof, facades or floor, including the possibilities of applying for subsidies or advantageous financing for these. De Ruijter: “Energiek Alphen is also happy to help you as a resident with quotations and taking insulation measures.”
Chairman Rik Winterink of VV Koudekerk: “In recent years, we have already taken many measures at our accommodation to use energy economically. Just look at the solar panels, the LED lighting and the solar boiler installation for heating shower water. We gladly cooperate with Energiek Alphen's campaign to make our members aware of the possibilities of saving energy at home. However, we often hear that people don't know where exactly to start and how to go about it. That's exactly where an Energy Coach can be of great help.”

Awareness
Energiek Alphen is running the ‘Score a free energy advice’ campaign to raise awareness and involvement of municipality residents in energy transition. Members are made aware of the energy advice, including through sign advertising and social media. For every member who requests an energy consultation, the association receives a contribution of EUR 5. The applicant himself receives an energy-saving gift during the Energy Coach's visit.
Every resident of the municipality can request a no-obligation energy consultation via the Energiek Alphen aan den Rijn website., www.energiekalphenaandenrijn.nl.
