Energiek Alphen aan den Rijn and Actief Rijnwoude will be running the ‘Energiehulp’ project in the second half of 2026. In this pilot scheme, the range of energy support services available to residents will be developed step by step, thereby making them more accessible. One example of this is the deployment of ‘Energy Helpers’. Would you like to become an Energy Helper? If so, click on the button and sign up.

Further information on the implementation of this project, in which Energiek Alphen aan den Rijn is collaborating with the Energy Team from Actief Rijnwoude. Together, we are looking for ‘Energy Volunteers’ within our local authority.

What does an Energy Handyman do?
All kinds of small energy-saving measures are relatively easy to implement. But not everyone is equally handy, or is limited in his/her abilities due to physical conditions. For these people, you as an Energy Tusser are the saving grace.

As a volunteer, you will help with simple but effective measures, such as installing radiator foil and draught strips. You will also support residents with questions about energy contracts and share information about healthy living. Your efforts will literally make a difference: lower energy costs and a nicer house to live in.

For this position, we are looking for committed people who like to roll up their sleeves and mean something to others. You don't have to be an expert: we provide good training and guidance.

Would you like to spend a few hours a week doing this rewarding work? Would you like to help make homes warmer and communities stronger? If so, please sign up using the button at the top of this page.
