Dorpsoverleg Hazerswoude-Rijndijk Oost, Actief Rijnwoude and Energiek Alphen aan den Rijn held six meetings for residents, businesses and associations/organisations on energy-saving measures at home and in the neighbourhood. Under the motto ’Samen Slimmer, samen verder', the focus is on the implementation of concrete measures and cooperation within a local energy community.

The following topics were discussed during the information evenings:

Local energy community

Together with Dorpsoverleg Hazerswoude-Rijndijk Oost, volunteers from Energiek Alphen aan den Rijn and Actief Rijnwoude are working hard to set up an energy community in Rijnwoude. Within an energy community, you can share sustainable electricity with each other. This will come in handy when the net-metering scheme is abolished. In the future, participants in the energy community will be able to save a lot of energy together.

On 22 January last, a well-attended information evening on this topic was held in De Som, Here the impetus was also given for the pilot Glanskern Hazerswoude-Rijndijk. You can here read more about it.

• Heat pumps and distribution system (a distribution system for a heat pump spreads the generated heat throughout the home and is crucial to the efficiency of the system).
