Campaign: receive complimentary energy advice
Energiek Alphen aan den Rijn has entered into a social partnership with six football clubs in the municipality. The energy cooperative wants to encourage members of these clubs to request energy advice and take measures to save energy at home. The first clubs signed the social partnership agreement this week.
The participating clubs are Zwammerdam, BSC’68, Floreant, AVV Alphen, Alphia and Alphense Boys. Advertising boards have now been installed at their facilities, and in the new year these clubs will inform their members about the possibility of requesting an energy consultation. “They can then make an appointment with one of our Energy Coaches, who will visit them at home to discuss possible measures to reduce their energy costs. They will receive a report on this,” says Erik de Ruijter, chairman of Energiek Alphen aan den Rijn.
Small measures, big difference
“The advice is entirely non-binding,” continues De Ruijter, “although we naturally hope that residents will actually take action. Whether you own or rent your home, small measures can quickly reduce your energy bill significantly. Consider, for example, draught strips or installing LED lighting, radiator foil or a water-saving shower head. Our advice can also cover ventilation and insulation measures for the roof, walls or floor, including the possibilities for applying for subsidies or affordable financing. Energiek Alphen is also happy to help residents with quotes and insulation measures.”
Awareness
Energiek Alphen is running a campaign at football clubs to raise awareness and increase the involvement of residents in the municipality in the energy transition. Members are made aware of the energy advice through billboard advertising and social media, among other things. For every member who requests an energy advice consultation, the club receives a contribution of 5 euros. The applicant themselves receives an energy-saving gift when the Energy Coach visits.
Every resident of the municipality can request a no-obligation energy consultation via the Energiek Alphen aan den Rijn website., www.energiekalphenaandenrijn.nl.
