Coöperatie Energiek Alphen aan den Rijn (EA) attaches great importance to the protection of your personal data and transparency in this regard. This Privacy Statement describes how EA, as the ‘controller’, collects, shares, uses and/or otherwise processes data relating to you or identifying you (hereinafter: ‘personal data’), in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (‘GDPR’).

Personal data and purposes for processing
EA processes personal data in order to provide information about its activities by means of newsletters, events, answering questions and other activities. To this end, EA processes the following personal data: your name, address, email address and telephone number and, if applicable, the name of the organisation on behalf of which you are acting.
You can also use your name and email address to subscribe to our newsletters. You can unsubscribe at any time via a link in the relevant email.
During your visit to the EA website, we store your computer's Internet Protocol (IP) address, as well as the type of operating system, internet browser and web pages visited. This technical information is used to manage the website and provide you with all of its functionalities, to resolve any technical issues or to improve the accessibility of certain parts of the website.
EA may refer visitors to the website to other sources. For example, our website contains links to third parties. EA accepts no responsibility for these third parties or for the way in which they handle personal data. We recommend that you read the privacy statements of these third parties.
Retention periods
EA does not retain personal data for longer than is strictly necessary for the purpose for which the personal data was collected, or for longer than is legally permitted. If you have opted out of our newsletters, we will delete your personal data as soon as reasonably possible.
The technical data described above, such as your computer's IP address and browser data, will not be stored for longer than one month.
Who has access to your data?
EA will only share your personal data with third parties to the extent necessary to perform its services (e.g. hosting the website) or to the extent that EA is legally obliged to do so. This Privacy Statement, as well as any disputes arising from or related to this Privacy Statement, shall be governed exclusively by Dutch law.
